Daisy Lane & Best Dressed

As I was looking through my Best Dressed DSP, I found this light purple and mint piece that looks a little like daisies. So Daisy Lane came out of the closet and today we are welcoming Spring (I know… wishful thinking!) Here is Daisy Lane & Best Dressed together~

Pretty straight forward design: Thick Whisper White base, Highland Heather layer underneath the DSP. I wrapped some 1/8″ Mint Macaron Ribbon around twice, then made my daisies.

To make the petals, I stamped two large and two small daisies with Highland Heather ink. Then I punched them out with the Daisy Punches. I stamped just the centers again with Daffodil Delight ink and punched them out with small circle punches. To put a bit more pizzazz in the centers, I dotted them with my Dark Daffodil Blend Marker and added Wink of Stella. Daisy Lane & Best Dressed DSP seem to be made for each other!

For the leaves, I punched three out with the Leaf Punch and Mint Macaron cardstock. I did a few swipes on each leaf with my Mint Macaron Blend. This darkened them up a little and gave them some highlights.

Now don’t you feel like Spring is here?  🙂  Where I live, the temps are mid-60’s, and the acacia tree across the street is about to explode with yellow flowers. When that tree blooms in February, I know Spring is here! I’ll post a picture when it’s at its peak. It is gorgeous! OH! Here it is ~ it is officially Spring in Granite Bay! 🙂

  1. LOVE this Karen! I feel another CASE coming on!

  2. Springy card. Fresh as a daisy. I need to check the other side of some of my papers. This is so pretty and looks great with the daisy. Not looking much like spring here. So gray and going to rain turning to ice and some snow I think. Yuck. I need to get going to the grocery store etc. before it gets bad. For now, I guess I will have to try and make some spring time cards in hopes of an early spring!

  3. Very, very pretty card. T.U.
