Daisy, Daisy

Does anything say “Spring!” to you more than a bright daisy? I’m looking forward to Spring and its milder temperatures, although we Californians have nothing to complain about! This is for all of you in the rest of the country who are experiencing extreme cold this week. I’m thinking of you, wishing warmer, brighter days for you soon!

When I pulled out my newly acquired Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper, I was drawn to this pattern with the modern daisy-looking flower on it.

These bright, vibrant colors just makes me happy! I guess it was named appropriately, yes?

“You are the best” comes from A Big Thank You stamp set. Here I stamped it with Night of Navy ink, using my Stamparatus, then stamped it again with Versamark ink (thank you Stamparatus for perfect placement!) and sprinkled it with Clear Embossing Powder. When I heat set it, it became glossy and textural.

The Daisy Punch has been in the catalog for the past couple of years. This punch is a keeper! Here, I’ve punched it twice with Whisper White cardstock, offset them slightly and glued them together in the center. A light swipe of the petals with my Bone Folder gave me the dimension that you see here.

Daisy Delight is the stamp set that provides the stamps for the daisy center and the leaves. Another great set to have! I stamped the leaves with Granny Apple Green on the same cardstock color and cut them out with my Paper Snips. The daisy center is Pineapple Punch ink onto Pineapple Punch cardstock, then punched with a 1/2″ Circle Punch.

On the inside, I combined the stamp sets. The sentiment is from A Big Thank You, the row of trio flowers is from Daisy Delight.

  1. Fresh as a daisy for sure. The sun is out and we are at zero degrees so this is a good day with higher temps in store today. I love the color combo as well as the design. I need to use my set more often. I will be CASEIng

  2. What a fresh and pretty card, Karen. The embossed sentiment adds so much to the already cheerfulness of the card. I agree that this set and punch are keepers and mine will hang around (and be used) for a long, long time!
