Cupcakes & Carousels

I received my Cupcakes & Carousels DSP Stack in the mail today and got right to making a card with these fun Bermuda Bay and So Saffron sheets. I love the vintage feel of these prints. They are…subtle and bright at the same time. Does that even make sense? Subtly bright?  Here’s the stack ~
The paper has a bit of Early Espresso in it, so I pulled that color for my sentiment and as a layer. The carousel layer measures 4-1/2″ x 2″ and I glued it to a skinny layer of Espresso, then that to a layer of So Saffron. This panel is attached to the card with Dimensionals.
The So Saffron banner at the bottom measures 1″ x 4-5/8″ after cutting the flagged end. The sentiment is from Suite Sentiments in the 2017 Occasions Catalog. I wrapped a length of Bermuda Bay ribbon around the end of the banner and secured it to the back with Snail Adhesive. It is glued directly to the card.
The inside is simple. I lightly sponged around the Very Vanilla panel with Early Espresso, just to continue with the vintage look, although you can barely see it! I found a birthday greeting that I think pairs well with the “Enjoy” font on the front in the Window Shopping set. I also found the cutie little cupcake in that set too!
Well, I hope you “enjoy” my card!  Many of my friends are at one of the Stampin’ Up! On Stage events this weekend, and boy am I jealous! They are so much fun, but it just wasn’t possible for me this time. If you think that is something you would love to do, talk with me about becoming a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator – hobby or business, your choice! The conventions are just one of the many fun, fun perks to enjoy when you Join the Fun! Have a fantastic weekend!
