Copper Woods

I’m continuing to show some older products in new ways. I think these amazing sets get passed over quickly if we had them last year. New and shiny is always more attractive, right? Well what about old and shiny? Like this card I made and call Copper Woods…

I took Winter Woods, carried over from last season, and added the newer Evergreen Forest Embossing Folder. With Copper Foil Sheets, it has a new look that I love!

Here is the catalog photo of both Winter Woods Stamp Set and In the Woods Dies (no longer bundled/each sold separately).

My card base is Thick Very Vanilla. I added a Very Vanilla layer on top to glue the Copper layer over. (Tip: This metallic foil paper is very soft and leaves every fingernail indent you put on it. Just be very careful as you handle it.) Then I wrapped the Vanilla ribbon around the two layers and tied a bow before gluing it to the card base.

The sentiment from Winter Woods stands out a bit more when stamped first with Early Espresso ink, then Versamark ink, and heat embossed with Clear Emboss Powder. If you don’t have a Stamp Positioning Tool, I highly recommend the Stamparatus! It is my favorite tool for perfect stamping.

One more tip: Stick a Mini Dimensional under some of the larger tree “branches” to give some more lift to the tree.

Have a wonderful Fall day!
