Christmas Wreath…on a Fence!

I’m back after what seemed like a long stretch on traveling!  It was all wonderful, but I missed my stamping and blogging, so I’m very glad to be able to bring you my latest wreath project.

I found the original layout to this card on Pinterest, created last year by Tina Rappe.  She has some really creative and fun cards.  I love this one!  I took the idea and gave it a 2015 update.

I made the fence by running a piece of Crumb Cake through the Big Shot with the Woodgrain embossing folder.  Then I cut it into 1/2″ strips and glued the bottom halves on top of a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of  Home for Christmas DSP.  I left the tops unglued to hang my wreath.

Next I stamped the sentiment from Wondrous Wreath using Real Red onto a strip of Whisper White, then I tore the top edge to resemble snow.  I glued the whole piece to a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ base card of Real Red.

I used Mint Macaron and Garden Green for the wreath with Real Red for the berries.  I attached a bow using our new red and white striped ribbon.

I slipped it over one post of the fence and secured it with Glue Dots.

Inside, I stamped a sentiment from Versatile Christmas and randomly stamped some snowflakes using Mint Macaron.

I almost forgot to tell you about the envelope!  I made it using Red Envelope Paper and the Envelope Punch Board.  I didn’t need a special sized envelope, but I love how the red paper looks with the card.

I hope you like my updated version of Wreath on a Fence.  I’m a bit obsessed with this Wondrous Wreath stamp set.  Check out my Halloween Door card HERE.  If you don’t already have the stamp set and would like to purchase it, I would be so grateful if you bought it through my online store!  Click here to get there.  You can also click on any of the pictures below to order from my store.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day ~
