Christmas in July Show & Tell

I offered a “Christmas in July” class last week where we made 5 projects using A Stitched Season Suite Collection. It was fun and maybe a tiny bit challenging. But the end results were worth it. Some of it was a bit “fiddly” to use a phrase that my friend came up with! Here’s my Christmas in July Show & Tell:

Card #1

The paper does most of the work! These projects appear to be quilted, but it’s simply DSP. I added this stocking to a piece of DSP from Lovely Blossoms and a skinny layer of Basic White over an Old Olive base.

 

Card #2

I cut this piece around the borders of 6 quilt squares. It’s popped up on Dimensionals over narrow strips of candy cane DSP.

This next one is a CASE from the Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusives projects, with a few Karen changes in there.

Card #3

I love the faux stitching around each piece, the combination of squares + triangles, and that cute Cardinal that I fussy cut from the DSP.

The last project was a gift box/tag set. The box is one of the Scalloped Window Boxes. I left a square peek-a-boo in the top to reveal some of the contents.

I die cut the trees out of Peaceful Pine and added the strips to each of the four sides. The little trees became cute embellishments for other projects ❤️

We have a healthy start on our Christmas cards and projects. Nice to know there is still plenty of time to make more! 😊

Cute as this suite of products is, I would advise you to grab it while it’s available. It’s an Online Exclusive product, and when they sell out they don’t necessarily restock it. Just a little friendly nudge!

    Loving your projects today as usual. Card #3 made me smile as we just had our house painted. It was dark green but the new dark green just seems more vibrant or at least clean with bright white trim. It is a bungalow style. Mike planted more roses and others. So, just like your quilted cards, so much to look at enjoy.

    I was like Linda and saved mine from before. But, I saw this in the preorder and ordered the DSP knowing I would want it when I saw what could be done with it. Now, I gotta get the buttons and ribbon as well as the bundle which I kept telling myself I did not need. I hope the new catalog won’t have much to entice me. Anyway, I love your projects. The trees on the side of the box is just too cute! I wish I could have been at your class.

    I was SURE I did NOT need the products from this suite–I kept the quilt-themed set and some DSP from a few years back. But OF COURSE your creations nudged me in a completely different direction!!
    Great projects!
