Cheers to You! (for FF0184)

National Wine Day is the theme for this week’s Festive Friday Challenge. What a fun challenge to use our Online Exclusive, Cheers & Sips! My card is a bit ambiguous on purpose. I’m not sure if I’m going to use it for a birthday, an anniversary, or a congratulations card. But one thing is sure – we are celebrating someone! So cheers to you! 🥂

The elements that I chose to put on my card are: Pop up card, something shiny, glass, and drink-themed sentiment.

Recipe:

• Bubble Bath Cardstock Base, 11″x 4-1/4″, folded at 5-1/2″
• Blackberry Bliss Cardstock layers, 5″x 3-3/4″ (outside) and 4″x 3″ (inside)
• Basic White Cardstock, 3-1/2″x 2-1/2″ and scrap for wine glass (inside), and 2-1/4″x 2-1/4″ for circle cropped with Spotlight on Nature Dies (outside)
• Celebratory Sips DSP, 4-7/8″x 3-5/8″
• Blackberry Bliss & Gold Ribbon (sold out), gold Open Weave Trim, and gold Low Profile Dots

Stamping:

• Using Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Pad, stamp a sentiment from Birthday Celebration.
• For the wine glass, stamp the glass and the ice cubes with Versamark Ink, heat emboss with Clear Embossing Powder, and water color the wine with Blackberry Bliss ink and a Water Painter. Crop with coordinating die.
• For the garnish, use Stampin’ Write Markers to color onto the stamp – Mossy Meadow and Old Olive for the stem and leaves and Blackberry Bliss for the flowers.
• Stamp “Cheers to you!” (2 stamps) with Blackberry Bliss to the right of the pop-up glass.

Pop-up Feature:

To make the pop-up mechanism, cut a piece of acetate (Window Sheet) to 3″x 3/8″. Score and fold at 3/8″ from one end, then 3/8″ and 7/8″ from the other end. Fold, burnish, and use Mini Glue Dots to adhere to the fold of the card.

Adhere the wine glass to the acetate mechanism with Glue Dots.
