Charming (Autumn) Day

Welcome September and our first Create with Stamping Friends this month! We have a sketch challenge this week. I combined Charming Day with Splendid Autumn for a Charming (Autumn) Day!

Here’s our sketch:

And here’s my card:

Purple doesn’t exactly make me think of Autumn, but the touch of Cajun Craze and the beautiful sunset in the picture do! I am sure looking forward to cooler fall temperatures! Soon!

Recipe:
  • Highland Heather card base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • Cajun Craze layer, 5-1/4″x 4″
  • Splendid Autumn DSP, 5-1/8″x 3-7/8″
  • White Baker’s Twine
    • Wrap around 2 layers – Cajun Craze and DSP – and secure on the back.
  • Basic White Cardstock, 4-3/4″x 1-1/4″
    • Emboss with Glass & Gardens Embossing Folder
    • Flag the bottom edge and glue to the DSP.
  • Basic White Cardstock, 3″x 2-1/4″
    • Crop with Label Me Grateful Dies
    • Stamp Charming Day sentiment on the right side with Gorgeous Grape ink.
  • Highland Heather Cardstock, 4″x 3″
    • Crop flowers out from Charming Day Dies
    • Cut small pieces of Cajun Craze Cardstock to glue behind the flower centers.
  • Layer as shown, with the sentiment label adhered with Dimensionals. Thread the Baker’s Twine through the holes in the flowers and tie a bow.
  • Glue the card front to the base using Stampin’ Seal.
  • Add three Iridenscent Pearls.
