(CC2C) Green & Gold

Welcome to another Creating Coast to Coast collaboration with Rosanne Mulhern and me! This week we start with me and travel from…

St. Patrick’s Day will be here before our next posting, so I thought it would be fun to make cards using green and gold colors. I even made a graphic for it!

Here’s our challenge:

And here’s my card:

Sending a little luck o’ the Irish to ye! This was fun!

Here’s what I used:
  • Garden Green Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″
  • Textured Metallic Paper in Gold, 5-1/4″x 4″
    • Cut out the middle to use for the next layer!
  • Nature Walk DSP, 5″x 3-3/4″
  • Textured Metallic Paper in Gold, 4″x 2-3/4″
  • Basic White Cardstock, 3-3/4″x 2-1/2″
  • Sweet Jar Punch Bundle
  • Garden Green ink, stamped off once for the lighter shade
  • Smoky Slate ink for the jar
  • Garden Green and Versamark inks for the sentiment, with gold embossing powder for “luck”
  • Metallic Gems in gold

I used Mini Dimensionals to attach the jar lid, which was stamped with Garden Green ink. Here’s a close-up of the stamping with the heat embossed “luck”:

I love this new DSP. It’s called Nature Walk, and it’s all vibrant colors with swirls and watercolored looking patterns.

Here’s a look at the whole pack:

And the Sweet Jar Bundle:

I adore this set for so many occasions!

The Envelope:

I like to cover the back flap of my envelopes with a coordinating DSP, and I love to use this opportunity to use some of my old DSP for this. Here I used a Garden Green piece from the retired Floral Impressions. I cut the DSP to 6″x 2″, then added a 1/4″ strip of the Textured Metallic Gold to tie in with the card.

OK, time to head east! Let’s go see Rosanne’s green & gold card! Click HERE to visit her blog site, Heartfelt Stamping.

Thanks for traveling with us today! See you next month for another Creating Coast to Coast!

  1. Karen, I love you take on the color challenge. The bright and cheerful jar full of lucky shamrocks is the perfect St. Patrick’s Day card. Another fun CC2C in the books!

  2. Perfection! I have some people who share my birthday with. This is perfect to CASE but putting a birthday wish instead of luck on there. I was playing around with using this set for our cards and I think this will be doable. I love it and I know Collette will love hers. Now to get Bernie to cooperate!
