CASEing Coast to Coast: Beautiful Boughs

Welcome to our October CASEing Coast to Coast! Last month I CASEd Rosanne’s card. You can see those cards HERE. This month I have created a slimline card (for the very first time) and I think they are really fun! It definitely gives you a bigger “canvas” to work with, so there are more opportunities for new designs and combinations of products. And these cards fit nicely into a regular business envelope, so nothing special needed there! Here’s my card for CASEing Coast to Coast: Beautiful Boughs.

beautiful boughs dies, itty bitty christmas stamp set, tasteful labels dies, snowflake splendor dsp, holiday card idea, stampin up, karen hallam

Materials & Measurements:
  • Pacific Point Cardstock – 9″x 8″, scored at 4″
  • Mint Macaron Cardstock – 8-3/8″x 3-3/8″; 2-1/2″x 2″ for label
  • Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper – 8-1/4″x 3-1/4″
  • Shaded Spruce Cardstock for boughs – approx. 4″x 5″
  • Copper Foil Sheet – 4″x 3″ for label and pinecones
  • Whisper White Cardstock – 2″x 2″ for label; 8-1/2″x 3-1/2″ for inside
Directions:
  • Glue the Mint Macaron layer to the card base.
  • Next, glue the DSP to the Mint layer.
  • Now glue the boughs on the sides, leaving some of the branches unglued, in order to tuck the pinecones underneath.
  • Add the pinecones and secure with small dots of liquid glue.
  • Stamp the White circle label then build the label: Mint on Copper, White on Mint. Add Dimensionals to the back and adhere to the card.
  • Stamp the inside layer as desired and glue to the inside of the card.
  • Add Champagne Rhinestones to the corners of the Copper label and add a small piece of Copper ribbon, tied in a single knot.
