CASEing Coast to Coast

Today I bring you our latest edition of CASEing Coast to Coast! If you missed last month’s, you can view it here. This month, I am CASEing Rosanne’s beautiful Tropical Oasis Birthday Card. You can read the details about it at www.heartfeltstamping.com. Here is her card.

My CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit):

I decided to CASE her layout and use some of the new Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Paper that has recently been released. It’s called Flowering Foils and it is stunning!  Here is my take on Rosanne’s card:

I love all of her layers and the use of the Stitched Rectangle Dies! I started the building process on mine with a base of Cajun Craze. Then I cut a frame from Flowering Foils Specialty DSP to fit all the way to the edges of the card. A layer of Copper Foil peeks out behind the Whisper White top layer.

Cardstock Cuts:

• Cajun Craze – 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″
• Flowering Foils Specialty DSP – 5-1/2″x 4-1/4″
• Copper Foil Sheet – 3-5/8″x 2-1/4″, tiny scraps for butterflies
• Whisper White – 3-1/4″x 1-7/8″, and 2″x 1-1/2″ scrap for leaf sprig
• Silver Foil Sheet – 2″x 1-1/2″ scrap for sprig

My sentiment comes from Rooted in Nature. I haven’t used this set since last Fall, but why not? The sentiments are not really season specific! That little spray of leaves is also part of that set. I stamped and cropped one in Cajun Craze and then another in Silver Foil.

Those tiny butterflies are from the Butterfly Beauty Dies and are my answer to the needed embellishment. Aren’t they sweet?
