Camp Create: Spectacular Shakers

My Favorite Things is having a fun week of “Camp Create” that I’ve decided to attend! It will be 5 days of technique challenges and I hope to be able to participate in all five! If you are intrigued, click HERE to view the challenge rules and play along if you’d like.

Today’s challenge is to make a shaker card. A challenge for me, for sure, as these are not something I’ve made in a long time! So I took it on, and here’s what I came up with…

pattern party host dsp, balloon bouquet punch, shaker card idea, birthday card idea, stampin up, karen hallam

Just for a little clarification, OH are the initials for two members of my family, my daughter and one of my grandsons. I’m not sure which one will get this card ~ it could go either way!

If you’re a Stampin’ Up! fan, you’ll noticed that I’ve included both current and retired products on this card. The striped paper is from the Host Rewards pack called Pattern Party. I’ve placed it under a Window Sheet with Adhesive Strips to create the shaker. It’s sitting on a base of Poppy Parade Cardstock.

Inside, I’ve placed a spoonful of (retired) Flowers For Every Season Gems. I punched two balloons with (retired) Balloon Bouquet Punch and drew the strings with a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.

My sentiment is from Honey Bee. I heat embossed it in white onto Basic Black and used the stitched strip from All Dressed Up Dies. And the die cut letters are from (retired) Large Letters Dies.

Day 1 challenge done! Camp is fun! It’s been (a few) years since I’ve been to summer camp 🙂

I can’t wait to come back tomorrow!

GREAT card!!! I love doing shaker cards! Your card front is so cute & perfect for your daughter or grandson. The letters serve double-duty! Made me laugh!
    Thanks for sharing!!!

  2. This card is SO fun, Karen! I love that it’s also “personalized “. Have fun at camp, especially since there’s no bug spray required!
