Cake is ALWAYS the answer! #FF0030

I’m still playing with Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. This is a BIG pack of paper, so there is plenty to play with for lots of occasions! Today I made a birthday card ~

I used my Cake Builder Punch with the DSP to cut some fancy little cakes that are sitting on Champagne Foil cake stands.

Since all cute cake should have a special cake topper, I’ve made one for each cake using images from Piece of Cake and the Sweet Cake dies. I colored the lollipops and flowers with assorted Blends. The sentiment is on a banner, lifted up on Mini Dimensionals.

On the inside, I continued the cake theme with the Happy Birthday cake stamp in Piece of Cake. The candles are “lit” with Stickles Glitter Glue.

You know how I love to match elements on my cards. I found this fun (retired) large polka-dot embossing folder to mimic the polka dots on the cake and to add some dimension. And that qualifies this card to be entered into the Festive Friday Challenge: “Handmade and/or Dots”! Here is the challenge banner~

How fun! I love all the fun cakes with fun toppers. Not sure which cake is my favorite on your card. If one is a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, it would be my favorite! Great idea of piecing with this paper.
