Birthday Hearts & Flowers

Here’s a pretty little set of birthday greetings using Heart Happiness with Happy Birthday Gorgeous and Cake Soiree for you to give someone special. Let’s look at the card first ~

I started with a base card of Berry Burst, then cut another piece just 1/8″ smaller than the base dimensions. That gave me a piece to stamp and tie some Berry Burst ribbon around without it showing on the inside of the card.
With the Happy Birthday stamp from Happy Birthday Gorgeous, I stamped randomly all over the front using Berry Burst ink. I love the tone-on-tone look it gives. Then I wrapped the ribbon around, securing it to the back with snail adhesive. Set that aside while you work on the hearts & flowers.
Using Glossy White Paper, stamp two large heart images with Berry Burst ink and immediately cover them with Clear Stamp Emboss Powder and heat set. Then crop them out using a heart framelit from Sweet & Sassy Framelit Dies. You can’t really appreciate the beautiful glossy shine in the picture – it is so pretty!
Next, stamp one large and four small flowers from the Cake Soiree stamp set. These flowers are two-step stamping. To get the look I achieved, I stamped the outlines first in Berry Burst. Then I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig for perfect placement for the insides. Again, I used Berry Burst, but this time I stamped them off once to get a lighter shade for the insides of the flowers. Crop them out using the Sweet Cake Thinlits Dies (these come in a bundle with the Cake Soiree stamp set).
Crop several leaves from the same Thinlits Dies in Wild Wasabi. Arrange the heart and flowers on a piece of Whisper White cardstock layered over a piece of Silver Foil. I used Dimensionals and Glue Dots to adhere them to the cardstock. This whole piece is adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A tiny rhinestone in the center of each flower gives one more touch of bling!

The Silver Mini Gable Boxes come flat with 12/package. Before assembling this box, I ran it through the Big Shot with the Petal Pair Embossing Folder to give it that pretty texture around the body of the box. Attach the hearts and flowers with glue and Dimensionals. Add a bow with a Glue Dot and a banner stamped with a birthday greeting and flagged at both ends. Sweet!
