On Wednesday I teased you with the Free As A Bird Stamp Set that will be coming out on June 4. Today I have another card using the same set plus some of the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper that comes in the suite.
Who wouldn’t love those birds?! The colors are so fresh and bright! I used a 5-1/4″ x 4″ cut of the current Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper, lightly glued over a Pool Party base. This laser-cut paper is retiring as of June 3 to make way for a Shimmer Detailed Laser-Cut paper that is similar. Both are gorgeous and so delicate.
You might think I stamped the birds and colored them with my Blends Markers, but no – this is Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper, cropped with a Stitched Circle Framelit Die. I backed it with a scalloped circle of Bermuda Bay and adhered it with Dimensionals.
I did stamp the inside with three stamps from Free As A Bird using Memento ink. Then I colored the images with Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, and Mossy Meadow Combo Blends.
The sentiment is from Free As A Bird also, and on Wednesday I mentioned the mixed fonts. This is a good example of that. I love the combination of script and print. Doesn’t that little pink adhesive flower from Frosted Flowers Embellishments work perfectly with the images on this card? I thought so!
Do you need this Bird Ballad Suite of products? Absolutely! Watch for them to come out on June 4 when the catalog goes live. If you are a current customer of mine, I will send you a free catalog. Just ask!

Beautiful Karen . . . your coloring is perfection! The birds are fantastic.
Have a blessed day and weekend and Memorial Day.
🙂
Thank you, Nancy!
This is such a charming use of both the Bird Ballad products and the laser cut paper combined. Thanks for the inspiration!
You’re welcome! and thank you for the nice comment, Linda!
Another pretty bird ballad card. So fun with those laser cut panels. I love to hear the birds singing in the morning when I take Teddy out. My parents would have loved anything made with this paper and stamp set. Thanks for a sweet memory of when my mom reported the first robin of the season many years ago in our home town.
I love how something can transport you back in time and wonderful memories just pop up! Music especially does that for me. I guess the music that birds make do it for you! Have a good weekend, Chris!
