Beautifully Happy for the Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, our blog hop theme is Sale-A-Bration! We hope you will be inspired by all the beautiful creations the Pals made for you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

For my Sale-A-Bration selections, I picked the Beautifully Happy Photopolymer Stamp Set and Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper. Here’s my card ~

This stamp set is a free SAB item when you purchase $100 in Stampin’ Up! products. It’s a large stamp set with two-step stamping and gorgeous floral images!

Cuts & Crops:
  • Orchid Oasis Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″ scored and folded at 4-1/4″
  • Basic White Cardstock, 4 pieces at 5-1/4″x 4″ ~ crop 3 of them using Fabulous Frames Die
  • Dainty Flowers DSP (Sale-A-Bration item), Fresh Freesia dot print, 5-1/4″x 4″ ~ crop with Fabulous Frames Die

Step-By-Step Instructions:
  • Crop 3 white frames using Fabulous Frames Die and glue the 3 frames together. Save one center for stamping.
  • Crop 1 Freesia frame from the Dainty Flowers DSP and glue it to the top of the 3 white frames.
  • Glue the four layers of frame to the card front, centering top to bottom, side to side.
  • Using one of the centers cut from a white frame, stamp the outline flower image from Beautifully Happy using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • Two-step stamping ~ for the large flower cluster use Fresh Freesia. For the smaller flower cluster use Orchid Oasis. For the leaves, use Garden Green. I used my Stamparatus for this and found it quite easy to line up and get a good colored image.
  • Stamp the little bee in black and color it with a Daffodil Delight marker and Wink of Stella on its wings.
  • Also stamp the large flower center with Daffodil Delight.
  • Stamp the sentiment with Orchid Oasis.
  • Trim a scant 1/16″ off all four sides of this stamped white layer to give the look of a purple mat around it. Glue it into the center of the frame, leaving the narrow Orchid border showing around all four sides.

Finishing Touches:
  • Use the Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon to tie a bow and add it with a Glue Dot.
  • Add one Iridescent Rhinestone above the sentiment.
  • If you haven’t already, brush Wink of Stella on the bee’s wings and the yellow center of the large flower.

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on February 8th, when we will be creating projects for Random Acts of Kindness Week.

Until then, have fun in your craft space.
