Beautiful Butterflies

🥳 Happy New Year! 🥳

 

It’s 2025 (unbelievable!) and today starts a new year of crafting and creating. I’m excited to show you one of the new products coming out on January 7 with the new Mini Catalog. It’s called Beautiful Butterflies. It is a hybrid bundle – one that cuts and embosses the images together if you want. I used it in a slightly different way today, but there will be lots of ideas for using this cool bundle coming up!

Here’s one look at my card:

There’s an unspoken rule in card making that says “you must have a sentiment on the front of your card.” Today, I’ve broken that rule. I made the card front and couldn’t decide where to put the sentiment. So I put it on the inside. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Problem solved!

Here’s my recipe:

• Summer Splash Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
• Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4″x 4″
  • Run it through the Embossing Machine with Beautiful Butterflies 3D Embossing Folder, positioning the large butterfly in the center. Adhere to the card front.
• Make your butterfly
  • Cut a large solid butterfly twice, once with Basic White and once with Summer Splash.
  • Crop the butterfly wings out of DSP (Bloom Impressions – SAB free item available Jan. 7.)
  • Crop the butterfly body out of Summer Splash Cardstock.
  • Glue the floral die-cut to the white butterfly, then glue the body over the top, centering it on the white piece.
  • Glue the white cardstock under the butterfly body (just the body!) and glue it to the Summer Splash butterfly. Then gently lift its wings up so you can see the two layers.
  • Glue this whole butterfly directly over the embossed one in the middle of the card. It will match up exactly!
• Sprinkle some pink sequins around the card.

On the inside:

Sequins on the inside?!! 😲 Sure, why not! They’re flat, so it works! These sequins are another free gift with purchase during Sale-A-Bration, beginning January 7.
