When Be The Star stamp set came out on Weekly Deals yesterday, I immediately started thinking about how I could use the stamps for a Happy New Year card. This is what I came up with:
It’s super sparkly, thanks to the silver Glimmer Paper that is also on sale this week!
I used several products on this card, all lined up for you in the rolling carousel below. I did put all 4 ways to buy the stamp set in the blog, because I know that everyone has their preference as to stamp type, bundle or not, and this covers it for everyone. The set in the Weekly Deals is just the wood mount set however, so FYI on that.
I will give you the bare bones on this card, as I don’t want to put you to sleep! But if you want to know more details, please leave a question in the comment section, or feel free to email me with your questions at karenshallam@gmail.com
I created the “DSP” with four of the stamps in Be The Star, Whisper White Cardstock, VersaMark ink and silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder.
I layered it on a frame of silver Glimmer Paper and glued that to a Basic Black card base.
The black and silver stars were cut with the Stars Framelits. The tiny stars were punched with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch.
“Happy New Year” is in the host set, Six Sayings, cut with a Banner Framelit. The ’16 was cut using the Little Numbers Thinlits.
Tomorrow is the Pals Paper Arts Challenge for the week. I will be posting a card that I think turned out so cute. Come back to check that out and to see the other PPA entries. After that I will be offline for a few days — spending Christmas with family.
