Be the Star

Lots of stars going on here!  I was inspired by fellow stamper B. J. Peter’s card where she used a Decorative Mask.  See it here. I remembered that I had bought one of these mask sets a long time ago and also realized that I had never used it!  Time to remedy that!  These masks are fun, easy, and so affordable.  This one that I used is called Hearts & Stars.  You get two reusable stencils for only $3.00!  They also sell Dots & Stripes, also for $3, and the one that B.J. used called Happy Patterns – four stencils for $6.00.  You can find them on page 157 of the Annual Catalog.

As I’m looking at my picture, I see that I need one more star stenciled on the left side of the card.  OK, wait a minute, I’ll be right back…

There, much better! Lol, what can I say, it’s the little things!
I used It’s My Party Designer Series Paper on the bottom of the card, Silver Glimmer Paper to separate the top from the bottom, and Sahara Sand ink on the stenciled portion.  These were mounted on Melon Mambo cardstock and adhered with Dimensionals to a Basic Black card base. The twine is from It’s My Party, page 6 in the 2016 Occasions Catalog.  The silver glimmer star and small black star were punched with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.  And I put a rhinestone in the black star on the left that adds a bit more sparkle.
Be The Star Stamp Set is bundled with the Stars Framelits Dies, and when you buy them this way, you save 15% on the total price.
You can also get the two components separately, or the bundle in a wood-mount set, whatever your preference.
I hope you will look at those items that perhaps you purchased and forgot to use!  And I hope you like this card idea and will go try one on your own.  Now I wonder what else is hidden in my stamping space that I’ve forgotten about….
Enjoy your weekend!
Karen
