Baskets, Bunnies, & Blooms

It’s time for our March posting of CASEing Coast to Coast! Rosanne Mulhern and I will take you from her studio in Pennsylvania to mine in California with a click of your mouse! This month we have a theme challenge: Baskets, Bunnies, & Blooms ~ just in time for Easter. We are starting in PA this time and here is Rosanne’s adorable card:

You can read all about her project by clicking HERE. It’s so sweet! When you return, I’ll show you my card!

My Card

When Rosanne picked this month’s theme of Baskets, Bunnies, & Blooms, I thought of this fun stamp set by My Favorite Things. It’s been in my cupboard waiting for this very day! 🙂

There’s a mixed bag (or basket?) of products on this one! Like “putting all of my eggs in one basket!” Here is what I used:

  • Stamps: My Favorite Things Spring Gnomes
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampin’ Up! Blends, Stampin’ Up! Balmy Blue
  • Dies: My Favorite Things Grassy Fields, Stitched Cloud Edges, Spring Gnomes
  • Paper: Stampin’ Up! Thick Basic White, Garden Green, Granny Apple Green, Abstract Beauty Designer Series Paper
  • Misc: Stampin’ Up! Blending Brush, Gina K. Masking Magic, Stickles Diamonds Glitter Glue, Stampin’ Up! Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Techniques

I paper-pieced the gnome/bunny’s hat with DSP. Then I made a mask with the Cloud Dies and brushed the color on to create the subtle illusion of clouds in the sky.

It’s so like Spring! I hope you have enjoyed our CASEing adventure again this month. Please leave us a comment! We would love to hear from you.

Here’s wishing you an early Happy Easter!

  1. Karen, sorry for the late response. I absolutely love this card. You’ve made such an adorable Easter scene with your gnome-bunny!

  2. Chris from Pella

Love both yours and Rosanne’s cards. I love gnomes and had seen that stamp set but talked myself out of it. May have to go look again. Such a fun card and love all the fun colors of the eggs and flowers. Love that the envelope matches his bunny ear hat. So cute, thanks for making me smile!
