Basket of Thankfulness

POW!  What an explosion of color!  At first as I was thinking about how I wanted this card to look, I never would have thought I’d end up with this Moroccan print.  But the colors were right…and the more I looked at it, the more I thought…why not?
The focal point (I think?) is this sweet basket of gourds, stamped with Soft Suede onto Crumb Cake. I used my Blender Pen and colored in the gourds with Pumpkin Pie, Watermelon Wonder, Delightful Dijon, and Old Olive. Then I snipped it out and set it on a Very Vanilla scalloped circle.  I wanted the little shadow to show on the lower left, but cutting it out didn’t look good to me.  So I stamped the whole stamp onto the Vanilla circle before gluing the basket down.  Problem solved!  The Vanilla circle is glued to a Soft Suede scalloped circle that is one size larger.
“Thankful” comes in the Acorny Thank You stamp set.  I stamped it with Cajon Craze onto Vanilla and snipped it out.  I just tucked one side under the gourds before gluing.
Burlap Ribbon stretches across the middle of the Moroccan print and that piece is glued to a Soft Suede base.  I used Dimensionals to attach the circular piece.  Tip:  Place them on the top and bottom instead of the sides.  That way it anchors to the card instead of the ribbon (which wouldn’t hold well.)
On the inside I glued two 1/2″ strips of the same DSP, then stamped a greeting from Basket of Wishes.  I love the sentiment:  “Giving Thanks for the Blessing of You.”
Giving thanks for you, my blog followers!  I appreciate your interest and I hope that I am sparking a little bit of creativity and desire for sharing homemade kindness.  Thank you, all!
