Autumn Leaves Bundle (for CASEing Coast to Coast)

Welcome to our October posting of CASEing Coast to Coast! Rosanne (from Pennsylvania) and I (from California) have been working with a photo for inspiration this week. It’s very autumnal, very colorful, and it has been super fun to work with! I love the beautiful leaves and chose the Autumn Leaves Bundle for my card.

Here’s the photo:

Here’s my card:

I love the sentiment that comes in this bundle: “Autumn teaches us that change can be beautiful.” From one who avoids change at all costs, it is a great reminder to accept change as a beautiful new beginning!

Materials & Measurements:
  • Cherry Cobbler Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock, cropped with Deckled Circles Dies, 5″x 4-1/4″; and for the inside 5-1/4″x 4″; and for the sentiment 2″x 1-1/2″ cropped with Autumn Leaves Dies
  • Mossy Meadow Cardstock, 5-1/2″x 4-1/4″, embossed with Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder
  • Leaves cropped from Autumn Leaves Dies, Cherry Cobbler, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Bubble Bath, and Daffodil Delight
Process:

And it was a process! To begin with, I cut out all the leaves, 3 or 4 of each color. Then I brushed some extra color on each one- Calypso Coral on the Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Bubble Bath leaves, and Gorgeous Grape onto the Cherry and Red leaves.

Then I arranged the leaves onto the panel of Mossy Meadow Cardstock, embossed with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder. [I don’t think this was necessary as you can barely notice it!] Once I was satisfied with the arrangement, I glued them down and cropped the whole piece with the 4-1/4″ Deckled Circle Die.

Next I glued the Vanilla Deckled Circle to the base, followed with the leafy circle. I added the sentiment, stamped with Cherry Cobbler onto Very Vanilla, with Dimensionals.

One 2023-25 In Color Dot is the only embellishment. I think the card is embellished enough, don’t you? 🙂
