Apples & Oranges

On Friday last week, I started posting my newest 3″ x 3″‘s made with the Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper. If you missed that post, you can see it HERE.  I have two more for you today, titled Apples & Oranges. I used the same Tutti-Frutti DSP, and added a few elements from other sets. Take a look ~

I “peared” (get it?) this apple and pear paper with Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock and added two hearts cropped out using Sweet & Sassy Framelits Dies. The sentiment “sweet” comes from the set called Milestone Moments. I added a Tutti-Frutti Adhesive-Backed Sequin to the heart and tied a bow with white Baker’s Twine.

On the inside, I stamped “birthday wishes” using two stamps from our Sale-A-Bration set called Happy Wishes. See how you can get this stamp set free, below in the Sale-A-Bration section.

If you’re saying, “Hey, those sequins don’t come in red!” you are right ~ but they are so easy to color using our Stampin’ Blends. I used my dark Cherry Cobbler alcohol marker on this one.

So that was apples. Now for oranges…

On this card, I used Peekaboo Peach for the base and went for the stamp set called Lemon Zest for the focal point, the orange. I stamped the orange with Pumpkin Pie, stamped off once for a lighter shade. I cut and backed it with Layering Circle Framelits, then stamped “Happy Birthday” in Calypso Coral from the set called Picture Perfect Birthday. The leaves from Lemon Zest are in Lemon Lime Twist and hand cut (although there is a punch to go with Lemon Zest that will punch the leaves out).
On the inside, I used a sentiment and leaf stamp from Lemon Zest with Calypso Coral and Lemon Lime Twist ink.
