Apple Card for the Teacher

A few days ago I posted a picture and directions to a small milk carton container that I decorated to give to a teacher friend of mine on the first day of school.  (See that post here.) That day is tomorrow, so I’ve made a card to go with it.  She’ll be surprised to get this fun gift in her teacher box among all kinds of paper and beginning-of-the-year documents (so not fun!)  I filled the box with miniature Twix, so even better! After her first day with kindergartners, she will appreciate the chocolate!! I know this from personal experience ~ LOL!

I used the hostess stamp set, Time of Year, on my card.  It’s a great greeting set that takes you through all kinds of occasions.  You can get this set for free with a $150 workshop order or personal order.  This is what it looks like ~

Isn’t it great?  I know I will use this one a lot!  I heat embossed the “time of year” stamp using white embossing powder on Cucumber Crush cardstock and cropped it out with one of the framelits from Bunch of Banners Framelit Dies ~
The DSP is from Fruit Stand.  The base is Cucumber Crush.  I used a Stampin’ Write Marker to draw the little dashes around the greeting panel, and I added a bow with Cucumber Thick Baker’s Twine. The time of year banner is lifted up with Dimensionals.
On the envelope, I cut and glued three of the apples from a scrap of the paper.
I’m getting this post out late on Wednesday afternoon.  I have a card to share with you tomorrow morning that I will be submitting to the Pals Paper Arts Challenge.  So I hope you’ll come back tomorrow and check that out.
See you then!
