Really, with paper this gorgeous, who needs fancy die cuts and embellishments? I am using the Designer Series Paper called Petal Promenade. It took me awhile to warm up to this paper — why? I don’t know– It is gorgeous! I guess it took seeing it in person to really appreciate its beauty.
So today I have two simple cards for you, both showing off two different sheets in the pack. Simple matting, simple sentiments, and a ribbon bow on each. That’s it!
This first card is an All-Occasion card. I cut the DSP to 4-7/8″ x 3-5/8″, glued it to a layer of Calypso Coral that is 5′ x 3-3/4″. That is glued to another layer of Mossy Meadow, measuring 5-1/4″ x 4″. The base card is Thick Very Vanilla.
The sentiment is from Love What You Do, stamped on a 2-1/4″ circle of Very Vanilla. The Stitched Shape circle underneath is Calypso Coral, as is the skinny ribbon.
I made this one into an Easter Card by using a retired stamp from Suite Sentiments. This piece of DSP is cut to 5-1/4″ x 4″ and layered over Mossy Meadow that is slightly larger. The scalloped oval and ribbon are Berry Burst. The Layering Oval and base card are thick Whisper White. Isn’t this paper just beautiful?!

Hi Karen your cards are gorgeous. I needed a quick sympathy card so I used the same papers as you used for It’s a beautiful day and used the words In Loving Memory . But was wondering what size card base you use. Kindest regards
Hi Susan! The base of these cards is 8-1/2 x 5-1/2, folded at 4-1/4. Thanks, glad you like them!

Great cards! I was hesitant to cut into this paper. It was so pretty but just not sure what to do with it. I guess it described spring to me so I was saving it, maybe? Mossy Meadow is a favorite of mine and it works well with these papers so I think I need to get busy and use this pack as I need several cards in the next couple of weeks. A good sentiment will make them shine just as you did. Great cards.
