Affectionately Yours Suite CASE

I CASEd the idea for this card from the new 2016-17 Annual Catalog, page 44.  You’ll find it in the Affectionately Yours Suite section.  I used many of the same products, just changed them up slightly.  It’s such a fun stamp set with so many little parts and pieces to build from.

Stamp Set:  Love & Affection
Cardstock:  Watermelon Wonder, Night of Navy, Whisper White
DSP:  Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Watermelon Wonder (full strength and stamped off to look more pink), Cucumber Crush, Night of Navy, Crushed Curry
Accessories:  Affectionately Yours Designer Washi Tape (on the inside), Navy Seam Binding (now retired), and Diamond Stickles by Ranger.

Stampin’ Tips:

  • I drew a faint circle in the middle of my white square by tracing around the inside of Ovals Collections Framelits # 7.  This gave me a guide to place my stamps where I wanted them.  After the ink dried I went back and erased the pencils line with a good art eraser.
  • Start with the biggest image first, then the next biggest, then fill in the gaps with the small stamps last.

I layered a piece of the DSP behind the Navy cardstock.  It has the soft muted Watermelon color that matches my large flowers.

I’m still awaiting my new Night of Navy Baker’s Twine, which would look so cute on this card, but since it isn’t here yet, I opted for the Seam Binding Ribbon.

The Suite includes Washi Tape, called Affectionately Yours Designer Washi Tape, and it matches the DSP so well ~ I love it!  Here I layered the floral Cucumber Crush on the Watermelon Wonder stripe.  It pulls the colors from the front and ties the whole look together.

There are a few more products that go with this suite, including an embossing folder, copper embossing powder, mini striped ribbon, and copper metallic thread.  Think of the possibilities!

My product list will follow.  Click on any of the pictures to shop for these products and anything else you might like to get through my online store.

Tomorrow I have another CASE but I also created some 3 x 3’s that spin off the large CASEd card.  Pretty cute!  Come back tomorrow and check them out.

Until then, Happy Stamping!
