Happy Monday!
I must be on a Coastal Cabana kick. Last week I realized that I hadn’t used even one piece of it since the color refresh, and in just a few days it’s all I’m reaching for! And so here is another…
I love using our Blends for coloring the image in Accented Blooms. They make it so easy to get such pretty results. I used Pool Party, Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Old Olive on this card.
The scalloped edge is an edgelit die in the Seasonal Layers Thinlits set. I took a 4-3/4″ x 3-3/8″ piece of Basic Black and ran it right on the edge of the right side. Then I did the same with a 1-1/2″ x 3-3/8″ piece of Coastal Cabana 6 x 6 DSP from the Brights Collection.
I stamped and punched “hello” using Coastal Cabana ink and the Taylored Tag Punch. Dimensionals give it a little lift. A single strand of Black Baker’s Twine tied in a bow plus some Wink of Stella are all the embellishments this card needs.

You did it again..made me smile! I think that this stamp set is so versatile and fun! Your coloring is jus beautiful……the peel of the strip paper makes me giddy!
Another cute card Karen!
I have used that die set for lots of leaves, flowers etc. and really forgot about that scalloped edge piece if I even noticed it. I even had it out last month as I finally found one of the leaf dies that had escaped. It was my turn to host another demo’s card club and when I went to put the treats in my big LL Bean bag I nicked my finger on something and it was the pointed part of the maple leaf that was stuck in the corner of the bag. As for my hostess credit I picked the Accented Blooms set and I will get it tomorrow night. Want to be I will be CASEing your wonderful card? I love the dramatic touches of black you used. I might change up the colors though but who knows what I will decide. Thanks for the reminder about the $5 bonus – I think I had better get another pack of the watercolor pencils they had this month just in case they don’t come back. Seems like a good excuse to me! While I have the scalloped die out – maybe I need to cut out a chair or two. I really only used that die a few times. Maybe because once I get into one of those Adirondack chairs it is so hard for me to get back out since my feet don’t touch the ground!
Very pretty, Karen. Your color combinations are beautiful!
Thank you, Veronica!
Oh thank you so much. I have this die set and NEVER noticed that little scallop trim. I fell in love with the chair and that was it! Ha. Ha. I love your layering and colors. Have a blessed day.
🙂
Ha! Thanks, Nancy ~ I love that chair too, but there is so much more
to this die set. It was fun to dig it out and use it again. 🙂
