I have the need for many birthday cards during the summer, so I’ve created one using Accented Blooms for you today ~
This simple card goes together very easily, and Stampin’ Blends make it quick and easy to color. Accented Blooms Stamp Set comes in red rubber and you can purchase the clear-mount stamps or wood-mount stamps. It’s nice to have that option. I always get the clear-mount. They are less expensive and I like the fact that I can use them with my Stamparatus. Here is the whole set:
If you have been following my blog, or are a subscriber to my newsletter, you have seen a card in which I used just the tiny flower stamp with my Stamparatus to create a “wreath” card. See it HERE.
Today I’m using the large floral bouquet stamp with the space for a sentiment. I stamped “hello” on a separate piece of Whisper White, using Pool Party ink. Then I punched it out with the Tailored Tag Punch and popped it up with Dimensionals over the matching shape.
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored the flowers/leaves with Blends – Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Pool Party, and Bermuda Bay. This was on a Whisper White piece that measures slightly smaller than 5-1/4″ x 4″. The Basic Black mat behind it is 5-1/4″ x 4″, and that is glued to a Pool Party base card.
On the inside I used that tiny flower stamp again, but I also used greetings from Varied Vases and Itty Bitty Greetings.
I love the way this card turned out and I’ll make a few more to use for all those birthdays that are coming up this month and next. Before I sign off, I want to show you a photo of our sweet dog, Amos. Also known as Famous Amos. He was a 14 year old Chocolate Lab and we had him for 11 of those years. He was my constant companion, faithful to the end. He was a family member who played “dog ball” with my grandson as he was growing up, and would fetch the tennis ball for hours. His tail was always wagging. He brought us so much joy. We will miss him terribly and I will never forget him. RIP my sweet, sweet boy.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great week! I’ll see you back on Wednesday when I’ll be participating in the July Pals Blog Hop ~ always fun to check out what everyone is making! Until then, get into the stamping habit!

Lovely card! The colors & coloring are so eye catching. TFS
What a beautiful card Karen. This set is on my wish list. Beautiful coloring and I love the inside as well.
Oh my, Amos…. What a great photo of him. I dread the day when we lose Teddy – he was just 4 but our other basset from the rescue league was 6 when his tumor and cancer took over his little body. You will always have some great memories of him but I know it so hard to lose a family member – furry or not. Cyber hugs to you…
Oh Karen….what a beautiful card and I love the blue around the image….thanks for sharing the inside of your card as well!!! My heart is still sad for you and your family….furballs ARE a part of the family and I feel the loss for you all…..what a handsome dog…..xoxox
That photo captures Amos’ beautiful, loving spirit. He would always welcome your card class at the door with that big smile. I always enjoyed having him under the table while we made cards. My heart goes out to you and the family. 💕
Karen, this is such a pretty card, inside and out. Your color shading is beautiful and I agree with Nancy about how pretty the shadowing is. Just looking into Amos’ soulful eyes and you can see what a wonderful companion he was….sending you hugs!
Thank you Rosanne! I need those hugs!
Hi Karen, Amos is so handsome. My heart is with you and your family.
Your card is very cheery! I love the inside and the shadowing around the flowers.
🙂
Thanks Nancy! It has been really hard adjusting to the daily routine without Amos. He required a lot of gentle care at the end and it’s so – different – around here without him!
