There is just something about pink and green together that makes me think of weddings……oh yeah, those were the colors in my wedding… 40 years ago! When I saw the color combination of Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz, and Gold on this week’s Pals Paper Arts Challenge, I knew a wedding card was going to be my choice.
And what better choice of stamp sets than Rose Wonder? Here is my card:
The base is Pink Pirouette. I heat embossed the sentiment from Suite Sayings in gold on the front Whisper White panel and punched the corner with the Curvy Corner Punch.
I stamped the rose/leaf image onto two sheets of paper – Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzazz with Hello Honey ink, then cut out the rose from the pink and the two leaves from the green. I glued them onto the white panel, then cut and glued the matching framelit from Gold Foil. It fit right over the stamped image, hiding the Hello Honey, but matching it enough that if a little bit poked out, nobody would ever know.
I followed the same idea on the inside:
I used the leaf framelit to cut out the bottom left corner, then glued the cut piece back in, leaving the holes so the pink can show through. It’s hard to tell in the picture, but the sentiments on the inside are also heat embossed with gold. I took the top one from Birthday Blossoms and the bottom one from Big News.
