A Time For All Seasons

I have been wanting to make a collection of all four seasons with my Sheltering Tree stamp set, and when I saw Linda Heller’s new post today, I thought I would borrow her layout and use this stamp set!  For all four cards, I used the Circles Framelits # 6 & 7, glued the colored piece right over the stamped circle, then popped up the white piece over it with Dimensionals, then added it to the base.  Here are the individual cards:

A fall tree has Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie leaves, a rake, and a pumpkin that I found in one of last year’s sets, Holiday Invitation (2014 Holiday Catalog).  The sentiment is from Sheltering Tree.  I stamped it in Crumb Cake and cut a little banner.  The base for this is Pumpkin Pie.  A double bow of Linen Thread finishes it off.
A winter card with Soft Sky snowflakes and ring sits on a base of Whisper White.  I added a little sparkly paper for the snowy ground and some diamond Stickles in the branches.  Unfortunately they are coming off a little yellow, perhaps pulling color from the tree – something to work on!  The little snowman is from Holiday Home (2014 Holiday Catalog).  He’s a little smaller than I would like, but I think he’s awfully cute!
This one may be my favorite!  A spring card with Pink Pirouette and Blushing Bride blossoms in the tree with tiny Perfect Plum hearts from You Plus Me (2015 Spring Occasions Catalog).  The swing and plum flowers on the ground are part of Sheltering Tree.  The base for this one is Blushing Bride.
And summer…  Wild Wasabi and Garden Green leaves shelter some red apples and a sweet red bicycle that is parked underneath.  The ring and base on this one are Garden Green.
Which do you like best? It was fun looking through my old sets to find stamps that would work with the seasons.  I always say, work with what you’ve got!  It is gratifying to get some more use out of our older stamp sets!  Now go see what you can come up with from your cabinet!  With the basic set, Sheltering Tree, you can add all kinds of things and make it fun.  This would make a cute gift set of cards.  Make a coordinating box to go with them.
Thanks for stopping by today!  Tomorrow is Tuesday and that means Weekly Deals.  Check in again tomorrow to see what specials are running this week and get in on the 25% discount.  Until then ~
