This is what I call an All-Purpose card. It can be used for many different occasions, anything from birthday to sympathy and everything in between. Kind of bright and flirty ~ I think it would give the recipient a pick-me-up if they needed one!
The best part is it’s simple to make! I love simple, especially when it turns out looking not-so-simple (if that makes sense!)
The Night of Navy base card is 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″. The Affectionately Yours DSP layer measures 4 1/4″ x 3 1/4″. From there, I added 2 skinny layers – one of Navy and a slightly bigger one of Flirty Flamingo.
The vertical navy strip is 3/4″ wide. The flower is Watermelon Wonder with a center of Flirty Flamingo, and one of my few left-over navy Candy Dots in the center (the current Enamel Shapes will be perfect too). I used the Botanical Builder Framelits to cut the flower parts.
“Sweet Friend” is a custom stamp, in that I put 2 sentiments together to make it fit! “Sweet” is from Helping Me Grow, and “FRIEND” is from Bloomin’ Love stamped in Night of Navy ink on Crumb Cake, layered with Night of Navy cardstock and cut into a banner.
I left the inside blank to make it versatile, but I did layer the Whisper White with Flirty Flamingo to dress it up a little and give it more color.
The envelope is Crumb Cake. I lined the back flap with matching DSP. Simply cut a piece of matching DSP at 2 1/4″ x 6,” glue around the edges of your envelope flap, lay the cardstock down matching the top edges, then trim around the flap with your scissors.
If you love this paper, you can have some of your own. Just click HERE and land at my online store. This particular Designer Series Paper is called Specialty because it comes with two sheets of copper embossed paper included, and they are GORGEOUS! Check it out!
And then go make something special for somebody 🙂
Have a great weekend ~
