The Blossoms in Bloom made a great study in black & white! I can’t say that I’ve ever done a card without some additional color, and I really think this set makes it work!
It’s a Puzzle!
First I cut the thinner of the two dies from Basic Black. Next I cut the thicker die from Whisper White. They were really pretty just as is, but didn’t stand up very well on either a black or white background. So I cut a second thick one with Basic Black. This time instead of using the outline, I carefully removed all of the petal parts and puzzled them back in to the flowers. That made for a much more dramatic look, and it now works with a white background!
I glued the card front to a 5-1/2″x 4-1/4″ base of Black. The two extra flowers in the set are the ones you see without the black filled-in petals. I put double-thick Mini Dimensionals behind them. You can’t really tell the depth in the photo, but they stand up pretty tall! I found some tiny black rhinestones in my stash and added one to each center.
The sentiment is from the Blossoms in Bloom Stamp Set. I heat embossed white on black, then added it with Dimensionals.
To the envelope I added some black and white prints from the retired Golden Honey DSP.
Bundle It and Save!
Sometimes you can get away with buying just the dies, or just the stamps. This is one set that should be bundled together! The floral stamp fits nicely behind the skinny die (see my previous card HERE) and the sentiments are great. Plus you save 10% when you bundle them together! The Bundle Code is #154123. I will put the individual codes in the Product List if you prefer buying them separately.
There are so many things you can do with this bundle. I’m just getting started! You can order one today. Go to my online store and shop now!
Have a great day~
