Want to make a fun card for a cat-lover? Here’s a purr…fect birthday card idea using Playful Pets DSP and some cardstock.
There is no stamping on this card! I cut the background piece to 5″x 3-3/4″ and glued it to a Basic Black card base. Then I glued a Real Red heart from the Stitched Be Mine Dies. I added a 3-3/4″x 1-1/2″ strip of Black Cardstock across the lower mid section and layered it with the “purr snooze yawn paw jump,” etc. DSP.
I fussy-cut the two cats from the DSP and glued them to the top. These two look like a pair of cats that I had a few years ago! The final touch was the addition of three tiny white Resin Hearts.
I made up the inside sentiment on my computer and added the Big Tom above it. He looks a little annoyed with life!!!
He’s probably annoyed that I made another option for the dog-lovers in this group! This was actually a Valentine card I made for a friend, who sent me a photo of the card afterward. I totally forgot to take a picture of it before mailing it. But it is a similar layout with the dog papers instead of the cats. I stenciled the dog paws onto white cardstock with Sahara Sand ink to make the background.
He’s cute, too. I’ve had fun with this paper! It’s in the Annual Catalog, so it will be around till June if you are thinking of getting some. You can order it by clicking on the thumbnail photo below in the Product List. It will zoom you right over to my online store site, where you can add it to your shopping cart.
Have a purr…fect day!
