A Little Something for Pals’ Blog Hop: Birthday Bonanza!

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team created “Birthday Bonanza” projects to inspire you to make for all of your family and friends. We hope you enjoy and are inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments because we all love hearing from you! At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

This card has some of my favorite new Designer Series Paper, Hydrangea Hill. I love the purples and blues together – so pretty! And quite fitting for a beautiful friend’s birthday card!

Materials & Measurements:
  • Highland Heather Cardstock, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″
  • Gorgeous Grape Cardstock, 5-1/4″x 4″
  • Basic White Cardstock, 5″x 3-3/4″
  • Hydrangea Hill DSP, 5″x 2″
  • Highland Heather Cardstock, 3-1/2″x 3″
  • Basic White Cardstock, 3-1/4″x 2″
Details:

I stamped the greeting from Fancy Phrases in Gorgeous Grape. Then I cut out one of the bouquets from the Hydrangea Hill DSP. To give it some dimensional interest, I turned it upside down on a Piercing Mat and rubbed the back of each blossom with the blunt end of my Piercing Tool. I then attached it to the card with Dimensionals under the spots that I pressed. It’s hard to see in the photo, but it does add a nice textural dimension to the bouquet. The final touch is two Pastel Pearls from the Hydrangea Hill Suite.

This card will accompany a little gift, so I decorated a Love You Always Treat Box to match. These boxes are so nice and sturdy and will hold quite a lot of treats or small gifts. They have been really popular, for good reason, and are currently on back order. I would definitely watch for them to be available again and stock up. They are that nice!

I haven’t quite decided what will go inside yet, but I wanted to show you the sweet pink foil heart I put on the inside. 🙂

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for our next blog hop on March 10th when our theme will be “Cute Critters” where the design team will be sharing projects that will feature critters of all sorts to inspire you. Don’t miss the fun! Until then, please stay safe and have fun in your craft room.
