I had this idea… let’s see what you think!.. I thought I would blindly pick an older stamp set (still current, but from the Annual Catalog) and try to pair it with a newer set from the Occasions Catalog. So I closed my eyes, reached into the cupboard, and pulled out Petal Palette. I hadn’t used that one in a really long time, so I was excited to try creating my “hybrid” card with it. Here is what I made ~
I love this big bold sentiment stamp from Amazing Life. In fact I love the whole set. There are so many possibilities with it!
Petal Palette comes with two sets, one with images and the other with sentiments. I settled on the two smaller flower images for the front and the larger one on the inside. First, I colored all of them with my Blends: Daffodil Combo and Old Olive Combo. Then I colored the word HAPPY, giving it an ombre look with the two different yellows.
As you can see, the base card is Basic Black. I like the stark contrast with yellow. It’s a color combination that makes me, well… happy! 🙂
I shimmered up the yellow letters and and yellow flowers with Wink of Stella and added some Black Rhinestones. Without a committed sentiment on the inside, I can use this card in a number of different ways. When I’m ready to use it, I will pull out an appropriate stamp and finish it up. And there you go.
Enjoy your day! What is your weather like where you are? It’s raining cats and dogs here, filling up our lakes and reservoirs, prepping life for our usual hot CA summer. We are thankful! See you Friday ~

Fresh as a daisy (or whatever flowers these are). Love the color combo. The ombre effect on the word “happy” is such a fun touch. Another great card.
