A Final Look at … Emerald Envy

Did you guess right? Yesterday I posted a final look at Peekaboo Peach. If you missed it, you can see it HERE. Today my card features Emerald Envy. When this color came out, I thought, woo! bright! not sure…  Then Stampin’ Up! came out with Naturally Eclectic DSP and I fell in love with this color! Does that happen to you?

Again, I used a Whisper White Note Card & Envelope, then layered Emerald Envy and Naturally Eclectic DSP on it. For the sentiment piece I cut a Whisper White circle using the Layering Circles Dies. I backed it with the scalloped die in Emerald Envy.

I used one of my favorite sentiments in Eastern Beauty Stamp Set, and cropped a flower using Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock with the Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies. I cut another flower from a piece of Naturally Eclectic to go behind the Lemon Lime Twist. A Metallic Enamel Shape heart finishes it off.

TIP: When I make cards using these pre-cut and scored Note Cards & Envelopes I don’t put a lot of dimension on the card. I find that they fit too snuggly in the envelopes when they are thick with dimension, so I keep them flat with Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Snail.

I also made a full-sized card today that could be this Note Card’s big brother. Here it is ~

Like the smaller version, I used Naturally Eclectic DSP with the Emerald Envy Cardstock. I also used stamps and dies from Oh, So Eclectic Stamp Set and Eclectic Layers Thinlits. I colored in the large flower with a Blender Pen and Lemon Lime Twist Classic Ink. I stamped the center of that flower with Emerald Envy then covered it with glue from a Fine Tip Glue Pen. It left a shiny mound of color that is so pretty!

Well? First Peekaboo Peach, then Emerald Envy. Tomorrow will be … Uh, ah, you’ll just have to come back in the morning to find out!
