A Case For Flourishes

I case’d (copy and share everything) this card from Mary Brown, aka stampercamper, but thought I’d try a different color combination.  Mint Macaron and Dapper Denim look quite nice together, don’t you agree?

This is a square card, which I enjoy making, and better yet — it’s 4 1/4″ square which means it will fit into a regular envelope.  No extra postage required!

I used the Flourishing Phrases stamp set together with the Flourishing Thinlits Dies.  You can buy them separately -or- you can buy them as a bundle and save 10%!  Definitely the way to go!

Measurements, please?  The card base is 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″, scored and folded at 4 1/4″.  The Dapper Denim layer is 3 5/8″.  The Mint Macaron layer is just slightly smaller at 3 1/2″.  I popped those two layers up on Dimensionals to attach to the card base.

The flourish is in Whisper White.  I stamped the flower from the same stamp set twice, once in Marina Mist and once in Dapper Denim, cut it out with my Paper Snips and attached with a Dimensional.  The center of the flower is made with 4 Marina Mist Enamel hearts.  Cute, yes?  Hello is also from that set and I stamped it with Dapper Denim.

Inside:  a light handed stamping in the corner with the flourish stamp and Soft Sky ink.

A simple little card but so sweet!  The thinlits dies do all the work and really adds quite a “flourish” on the card.  Now it’s your turn to case!  What other color combinations can you think of to create a same but different card?

Until next time, have fun stamping!
