A Bit of Green for … Easter???

It’s St. Patrick’s Day and I’m thinking green….and then I made an Easter card! I guess I don’t know anyone who would appreciate a St. Pat’s Day card, altho I’m sure there are many of you out there! So to all of you Irish, Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
To make this green Easter card, I pulled out my newly acquired Timeless Tags Thinlits Dies – so fun! I’m looking forward to playing with it some more! I started with this flower tag and cut it out four times, once with Cucumber Crush (retiring soon – grab some more now!), once with Wild Wasabi for the leaves, once with Soft Sky for the background sky, and once in Daffodil Delight for the center. There is a plain tag framelit in the set that I cut out in Whisper White. I attached the green to the white and set about filling in the colors like a mosaic tile using the Fine Tip Glue Pen.
The base is Crumb Cake and I stamped the greeting from Suite Sayings with Versamark ink directly to the card base, sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat embossed it with my Heat Tool.
I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4″ x 5 1/4″ then cut it in half at an angle. I did the same with a piece of Cucumber Crush that was 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ and ran it through the Big Shot with the Petal Burst Embossing Folder.
After gluing those onto the base, I added a 1/2″ strip of Cucumber/Crumb Cake DSP from Affectionately Yours Specialty DSP.
The flower is popped up with Dimensionals and I added a Linen Thread bow.
Quick, simple, bright and cheerful!  Have a bright and cheerful weekend!  My daughter is coming home tomorrow for her week of Spring Break and we are going to spend the week doing all of her favorite things! She is going to love our warm California weather after spending the winter in Wisconsin (brrrrr!)
