Wagon Full of Cheer

I don’t know about you, but Christmas feels a long way off to me. However, checking the calendar, it is only 9 weeks away! It is definitely time to be thinking about Christmas cards, especially if you like to give handmade ones. Here’s a cute set that dons a wagon full of cheer! It coordinates with one from the Annual Catalog. It’s called Filled With Cheer, sister set to Filled With Fun and matching dies. It is festive and very fun!

Here’s a look at the set:

And Filled With Fun coordinating dies (that work with both sets):

FILLED WITH FUN DIES

The wagon and wheels match the dies. The string of lights can be cropped out with the banner die. The presents and poinsettias don’t have a coordinating die but were easy to cut out with my Paper Snips.

Here’s the Recipe:
  • Early Espresso Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • Real Red Cardstock layer, 4-3/4″x 3-1/2″
  • Take a Bow 6″x 6″ DSP, 4-5/8″x 3-3/8″
  • Basic White Cardstock, free-hand cut, 4-5/8″x 2-1/2″, and textured with Basics 3D Embossing Folder
  • Wagon, wheels, handle, sentiment, and gifts stamped with Early Espresso ink onto Basic White Cardstock and colored with the following Blends:
    • Wagon – Real Red, Natural Tones Medium Deep
    • Wheels – Natural Tones Deep and Medium Deep
    • Gifts – Natural Tones Medium Deep, Real Red, Granny Apple Green, Pretty in Pink, Lemon Lime Twist, and Daffodil Delight

I adhered the wagon and wheels with Dimensionals. Everything else is glued down flat. The sentiment piece measures 1-3/4″x 1/2″.

I added 2 Distressed Metallic Dots on the wheels and 3 Iridescent Rhinestones on the gifts for a little bling. Those rhinestones are hard to see until the light hits them, as they take on the color that is underneath them. But held in your hand, it is a touch of sparkle.
