Super Simple Saturday

Want a quick and simple card idea for Saturday (or any day!)  This card couldn’t be any easier to put together, yet the Designer Series Paper stack called Serene Scenery makes it a work of art!

The golds, greens and browns give the card an Autumn feel.  I actually started out trying to make a card for the PPA challenge this week which needed to include Dapper Denim, Old Olive, and So Saffron.  Well… I got the So Saffron, and the Old Olive is in this paper…I couldn’t make the Denim work and decided to use Early Espresso.  I’ll keep working on that PPA challenge, but this card went a different direction!

“Happy,” cropped out with the Big Shot and Hello You Thinlits in Early Espresso, is glued directly to the DSP.  I cut the banner out of So Saffron with Bunch of Banners Framelits and stamped the word “Birthday” from Thoughtful Banners in Espresso, then added 2 dots with my Stampin’ Write Marker.
The butterfly, from Papillon Potpourri, is stamped with Delightful Dijon onto Vellum paper and punched with the Bitty Butterfly punch.  I adhered it with a Glue Dot and folded the wings up just a touch.
On the inside I stamped the greeting from Happy Happenings in Espresso and 2 little Dandelion seeds from Balloon Celebration in Delightful Dijon.

The envelope is Very Vanilla to match the inside of my card, and I glued Delightful Dijon DSP Stack paper (2″ x 6″) to the back flap.  A little strip of Espresso ties the colors together.  Glue them down, trim off the excess, and it’s ready to go.

Did I say this was Super Simple?  Go make some and send out a little handmade kindness!

Have a great weekend!
