Hello! This week we have a sketch challenge for Create With Stamping Friends. I’ve chosen the Storybook Garden (Strawberry) Patch Bundle and Storybook Moments DSP for a pocket thankyou card!
Here’s the sketch:
And here’s my pocket thank you card:
I like both sides of this paper, but I really adore the back patterns too! This strawberry paper is so cute. It feels like Spring!
Check out the DSP and then I’ll describe how I made the card ~

Part of the Storybook Moments Suite Collection #164681, Pages 23 – 29 Jan/Apr Mini Catalog
Pocket Card Instructions:
- Misty Moonlight Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
- Storybook Moments DSP
- Green leafy pattern, 5-1/4″x 4″
- Strawberry pattern, 5-1/4″x 4″, cut in half 1-1/2″ down from top left to 1-1/2″ up from bottom right – This gives you two pieces, one for this card and one for another card.
- Misty Moonlight strip, 1/4″x 5″
- Glue this to the top of the strawberry piece and trim off the edges to match the DSP
- Use Tear & Tape on the back of the strawberry DSP piece – one strip down the left side, one across the bottom, and one on the right side, to create a pocket. Leave the top open/unglued.
- Boho Blue Cardstock, 4″x 2-1/2″
- Stamp, color, and crop a strawberry cluster from the stamp set. Glue it to the top left side.
- Basic White Cardstock, 3-1/4″x 2-1/2″
- Stamp “Thanks So Much” from Memorable Blooms with Misty Moonlight ink in the top left corner and add another strawberry cluster to the top right corner.
- Insert the blue and the white pieces into the pocket at opposite angles.
- Two alternate ideas:
- Attach a gift card to the back of one of these inserted pieces.
- Write an extra little note to the white piece.
- Add a bow of Linen Thread to the front with a Mini Glue Dot.
Here’s how it looks with the white card pulled out:
Here’s the inside:
There’s plenty of room on the inside to write a note of thanks, plus a third strawberry cluster. The stamped sentiment is also from Memorable Blooms in Misty Moonlight ink.
Stampin’ Blends Used:
- Light and Dark Old Olive on leaves
- Light and Dark Poppy Parade on the strawberries
Such a fun card! Of course if you don’t want a pocket, simply glue the two pieces of cardstock behind the angled strawberry paper and glue the top DSP layer down flat. But who doesn’t love a pocket?!
