Shy Shamrock (for CSF 817)

This week on Create with Stamping Friends we have a sketch challenge. I’m showcasing the new In Colors this week and I’m up to Shy Shamrock today. This design would look beautiful in each of the new In Colors!

Here’s our sketch ~

And here’s my card ~

I love this new green! And it pairs nicely with Shaded Spruce, my choice of colors for the leaves.

Cardstock Cuts ~

  • Shy Shamrock Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • Basic White, 5″x 3-3/4″, 4″x 3/4″ for flagged strip
  • Shy Shamrock 6″x 6″ DSP, cropped with Countryside Corners Dies
  • Lemon Lolly, 3″x 1″
  • Shaded Spruce scraps for leaves from Layers of Beauty Dies
Put it together ~
  1. Cut the Shy Shamrock DSP into three 3-7/8″x 1-7/8″ panels using Countryside Corners Dies. Crop the right and left panels to 1-3/8″ wide. Leaving the pattern intact, glue the three panels to the White layer.
  2. Using a square punch, clip the corners, top, and bottom to match the shape of the DSP panels.
  3. Glue the clipped White layer to the card base.
  4. Stamp the Lemon Lolly rectangle with a sentiment from Layering Leaves using Smoky Slate ink.
  5. Glue the Lemon Lolly rectangle to the flagged White strip.
  6. With Dimensionals, adhere the sentiment strip to the card front.
  7. Using Glue Dots, attach the Shaded Spruce leaves, tucking the ends under the sentiment strip.
  8. Add three Shy Shamrock In Color Gems.
