Sending Thanks

This week we are working with a Color Challenge at Create with Stamping Friends. I decided to make a thank you card for a lovely gift that I received, so I’m sending thanks with the gorgeous Regal Winter DSP (I can’t get enough of this paper!)

First the color board:

And then my card:

winterly tree tops, regal winter dsp, thoughtful wishes dies, autumn leaves dies, layers of beauty dies, csf 844, thank you card idea, stampin up, karen hallam

I’m not a huge fan of Wild Wheat, but I have to say – it’s pretty stunning in this paper! What do you think?

Here’s the recipe:
  • Early Espresso Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • Basic White Cardstock, 5-1/4″x 4″
  • Regal Winter Designer Series Paper, 5-1/8″x 3-7/8″
  • Basic White circle cropped with 2-1/8″ Stylish Shapes Die
  • Foliage cropped from Wild Wheat, Early Espresso, and Copper Clay Cardstock and the following dies ~ Thoughtful Wishes Dies, Autumn Leaves Dies, and Layers of Beauty Dies
  • Gold trim from Gold & Silver Trim Combo Pack tied in a bow
  • Sentiment from Winterly Tree Tops, stamped with Early Espresso ink
  • One gold heart sequin

I glued the layers together, then I arranged the leaves and twigs, securing them with Dimensionals. I added more Dimensionals to the back of the circle and secured everything down. The bow was adhered with a Mini Glue Dot.

  1. You did make Wild Wheat look really good Karen! Nice job.

  2. The DSP certainly makes a difference. Wild wheat is probably the least favorite color SU has had for me.

  3. I’m not a big fan of Wild Wheat either, but you’re right, on this DSP pattern it’s lovely!
