Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! I’m sending birthday wishes to you!
This month, the theme is the New 2023-2025 In Colors. We hope you will be inspired by all the creations the Pals share with you! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
For my card, I decided to highlight the new In Color, Copper Clay. I was sad to see Cinnamon Cider retire, so I’m super happy to have a similar shade! Look how nicely it pairs with Lemon Lolly! ❤️
I picked an old favorite fun fold for my card. I haven’t made this fold in a long time and discovered a good way to create the arm fold that is much improved over my old way.
Measurements:
- Copper Clay Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
- Lemon Lolly Cardstock, 5-1/8″x 3-7/8″
- Fresh As A Daisy DSP, 5″x 3-3/4″
- Inside ~ Lemon Lolly, 5-1/4″x 4″, Basic White, 5-1/8″x 3-7/8″
- Arm ~ Copper Clay, 3″x 1-3/8″, scored at 1-3/8″ and 1-1/2″, Copper Clay Stitched Circle 3″, Lemon Lolly Stitched Circle 2-1/2″, Fresh As A Daisy DSP Stitched Circle 3″
Match up the left score line on the arm with the right edge of the cardstock and glue in place. The two score lines make a nice little gap so the arm can close freely over several layers of cardstock. Then glue the right side of the arm between the Copper and Lemon circles. Glue the DSP circle on the front, over the Copper Clay Cardstock Circle and decorate.
Stamp a fun message on the inside of the arm as well as on the inside of the card. I’ve left it blank for the time being until I am ready to send it.
The sentiment on the front is from the Sending Smiles Stamp Set and Sending Dies. Crop two word dies, one in Pretty Peacock and one in Lemon Lolly. Layer the two together for a pretty shadowed look. The white daisy is from Dainty Delight Dies. The Lemon Lolly embellishments are part of the Adhesive Backed Solid Gems.
More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are very excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on July 12th, when our theme will be CASE the Catalog, when the design team chooses a card from the new Annual Catalog and recreates it with their own creative twist.
Until then, have fun in your craft space.

Wonderful card, Karen! Love your “arm” design, and beautiful color combo!
Gorgeous way to show off my favorite flower and our new color Copper Clay which is becoming my favorite In-Color.
Beautiful card, Karen! Lemon Lolly is going to be a great color for our cards. Love the fun fold, too. Thanks for joining the blog hop this month.
I just love the Copper Clay, and love your fun fold, also. Now I have to try it!
Thanks, Mary!
Love this, Karen … script diecut greetings are my favorite!s
Hi there, Janice! Good to hear from you! Thanks 🙂
Wonderful card. I like how the DSP shines quite a bit even with that wonderful wood looking circle. Even if the fun arm part is not added the circle itself with the sending part and birthday wishes looks so fun with the little daisy. I think I need a pack of this paper and get ahead on some birthday cards. I might have to use the hugs and stuff sentiment for nonbirthday cards. I am enjoying the new color and a great substitute for cinnamon cider which I loved too. Well done Karen!
Thanks so much, Chris!
Copper Clay does have a cinnamon feel! Lovely card!
Thanks, Windy!
