Peaceful Pines Note Cards

This is one of 9 note card-sized Christmas cards I made for my Bible Study Small Group.  We will be meeting tonight for the last time before Christmas, so I’ve been busy putting them together today!
I used the Warmth & Cheer Designer Series Paper Stack and Whisper White Note Cards and Envelopes for all of the cards.  Here are the others.  I’ve grouped them by background color ~
First, I cut a 3 1/4″ square of Warmth & Cheer DSP, then cut it on the diagonal, left to right.  I glued the two pieces to a background piece measuring 4 7/8″ x 3 3/8″ (it’s easier to think 1/8″ less than the notecard itself!)
Then I cut 2 strips of 1/4″ x 6″ Gold Glimmer Paper.  It’s long on purpose.  Put a thin layer of Multipurpose Liquid Glue along the outer edge of the DSP and glue the strip down.  Then go back and trim off the excess from the edges.  Do that twice.  Butt the edges of the Glimmer Paper right up to the DSP but don’t overlap.
I cut the largest Stitched Oval Framelit in White and attached it with Dimensionals.
I stamped the tree from Peaceful Pines in Garden Green and cut it out using the Perfect Pines Framelits.  Attach with Dimensionals, as well as a Gold Glimmer star on top of the tree.
On the inside, I stamped one of the greetings from Peaceful Pines in Garden Green, then Gold Embossed some stars from another retired set.
Which color group do you like best?  I’m partial to the green, well maybe the red…
Now back to decorating the tree 🙂  You can see I didn’t get too far before I stopped to post this! Amos is definitely a big help in the process!!!
The light reflecting on his back makes him look like a fawn impersonator – Rudolph???
Merry Christmas!

  1. What a pretty set of cards and so appropriate for your Bible Study group. I am partial to the red plaid and green plaid…can you tell I love plaid! Thanks for the details on the measurements. I have always shied away from those diagonal cuts. Looks like Amos took a blog break, too!!

  2. Karen, I love the idea of note card sized cards! These are wonderful! I am gong to have to try the tip of cutting a 3 1/4 inch square for a card. And I LOVE your tree! And your helper "Rudolph"!
