Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!
This month, the theme is Sale-A-Bration. We hope that you will be inspired by the creations the Pals are sharing with you! Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
At the top of my favorites list in this Sale-A-Bration brochure is Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper! I love birds and there are lots of sweet birds in this pack of paper. Here’s my card:
Basic Card Layout
- I started with a base of Boho Blue Cardstock, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″.
- To that I added a panel of Bubble Bath Cardstock, 4-1/4″x 2-1/2″. To give it some texture, I ran it through the Cut & Emboss Machine with an embossing folder such as the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder.
- Next I cropped a piece of Flight & Airy DSP with Deckled Rectangles, about 4-3/4″x 3-1/4″ and glued it in the center.
Focal Point
- For the sentiment, I cropped a piece of Basic White with Deckled Circles Dies to 2-1/2″ and stamped “Hello There” from Nature’s Prints in Misty Moonlight.
- Next I cropped a branch from Seasonal Branches Dies and Crumb Cake Cardstock.
- I fussy cut one of the birds from the DSP and perched him on the branch.
- To add a bit more Dimension, I popped the circle up with Dimensionals.
- For the final embellishment, I tied a bow with Linen Thread and attached it with a Glue Dot.
To continue with the deckled look, I cropped a piece of Basic White for the inside with Deckled Rectangles, 4-3/4″x 3-1/4″.
