Orange Slices with Lemon Zest

Ha! If I didn’t know better, I would think I was opening up a food blog with my title! These orange slices do look good enough to eat, but…
My brother’s birthday is in July. As long as I can remember, his favorite candy has been orange slices. I think of him every time I see these gummy confections in the store! So when I saw Lemon Zest in the new 2017-18 Annual Catalog, I knew I needed to make Jim this card. Along with some edible orange slices, of course!
I used Tangerine Tango to stamp the oranges and Old Olive to stamp the leaves. You can bundle this stamp set with a new punch and save 10% with the two items.
Also available in Wood-Mount
To give the orange slices that sugary-sparkly candy look, I brushed them with Wink of Stella.
The ribbon is Old Olive Mini Chevron ribbon – very supple and easy to work with! Love it!
Happy Birthday, little brother!  Squeeze it for all it’s worth!
