Need Inspiration?

Happy Monday morning!

I have made a card to share with you today that shows you can get your inspiration from all sorts of different places.  My card today sprung from a glance at (of all things) a Kleenex box!  Yes, check it out ~

I used Helping Me Grow, stamping the flowers on watercolor paper with Basic Gray Archival ink. Then I attempted to watercolor with a variety of pinks – novice, for sure, but the process was fun.  And if I can do this, so can you!  I used my Aqua Painters.  I used Old Olive on the stems.  I painted the flowers with Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, and Rich Razzleberry.

You can barely see it in the photo, but I scored 1/8″ around each edge of the green paper.  I fussy cut out the flowers and glued them down with Liquid Multipurpose Glue.  “Bonjour Beautiful” is from Happy Happenings and the frame around it is from Helping Me Grow, cropped with a die from Rose Garden Thinlits.  The Rich Razzleberry button and Candy Dots are from my old stash, no longer available to purchase through the catalog.

On the inside I stamped the little circle border stamp from Helping Me Grow.  As I often do, I left the sentiment off until I know who the card is for and what specific occasion it will be used for.

So, keep your eyes open.  You never know when you might see something that you can draw inspiration from.  It could be anything!  Have fun!
