Welcome! I’ve made a valentine card for the Pals Paper Arts challenge this week. My design was inspired by this sketch by Mary Fish:
The Designer Series Paper that I used for the background piece is from the new 6″x6″ paper stack called Love Blossoms. I love this stack! The papers are so pretty, primarily Rose Red, Blushing Bride, Garden Green, and Crumb Cake. Perfect for Valentine’s Day cards.
My sentiment comes from the same suite, page 17 in the Occasions Catalog, and is called Bloomin’ Love – a wonderful compliment to the paper stack (of course!).
The embellishments, again from the same suite, are a little kit called Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit. This is one of those must-haves for your valentine cards. You get a beautiful satin Blushing Bride ribbon, gold foil doilies, a strand of pearls, the little rose satin bows and glitter dots that I used on this card, and wooden hearts and a pack of sequins. Tons of fun stuff!
The little trio of hearts that I glued to the green strip were punched from the Hearts Border Punch.
On the inside, I cut around a bit of DSP scrap I had left over and glued it in the corner, then stamped the XOXO in Rose Red.
Pop on over to the Pals Paper Arts site and see many other ways our friends have interpreted this design sketch! I can’t wait to see them myself. You are welcome to play along!
Happy Stamping!
