Mixed Media Thinking of You

Happy Thursday and happy April! We are working with a sketch challenge this week at Create with Stamping Friends. I’ve combined products for a Mixed Media Thinking of You card!

Materials & Measurements:
  • Garden Green Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • Basic Black Cardstock, 5″x 3-3/4″
  • Mixed Media Florals DSP, 4 pieces cut at 2-3/8″x 1-3/4″
  • Mixed Media Florals Memories & More Card Pack (last chance), circle cropped with Spotlight on Nature Dies, 2-1/4″ diameter
  • “Thinking of You” from Layering Leaves (last chance), stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink
  • Butterfly from Painted Lavender Stamps and Dies (last chance)
  • Three Iridescent Faceted Gems

I may have been overthinking it when I thought the square grid card for the sentiment mimicked the rectangular grid on the card! But it’s something different, anyway! Lol!

I heat-embossed the sentiment with black embossing powder to make it stand out more against that grid.

I’ve lifted the circle up a bit with Dimensionals, and did the same with the butterfly.

I’m trying to show you the shine from the sentiment and from the embellishments. They get lost in the photo, but in real life they are very sparkly and cannot be missed!

Pretty! I like playing with the M&M cards and making real cards out of them. I bought the pack but I am not sure if I even opened the pack yet. Thanks for the inspiration to make some cards up.

  2. I like the mis-matched grids better anyway . More interesting. Lovely card.
